What Is a Cage Dryer?
A cage dryer is an automated unit attached to the front or side of a grooming kennel. The dog is placed inside, the machine is turned on, and high-velocity or heated air circulates inside the box to dry the dog over 20 to 40 minutes without requiring a groomer to stand there.
While it saves grooming salons time and labor, it introduces significant risks to your pet's physical safety and mental well-being.
The Hidden Risks of Cage Drying
1. Severe Risk of Overheating and Heatstroke
Dogs do not sweat through their skin like humans; they rely primarily on panting to regulate their body temperature. Trapped inside a small cage with hot air continuously blowing, a dog's core temperature can spike within minutes. Tragic incidents of heatstroke, organ failure, and even death from forgotten or malfunctioning cage dryers happen every year across the country.
2. Extreme Stress and Anxiety
The loud, continuous hum of a dryer enclosed in a tight space can be terrifying. For anxious pups, rescues, or nervous dogs, being locked in a blowing box creates intense sensory overload and distress.

Towel & Fluff Drying: For sensitive, senior, or fearful dogs, we take extra time to hand towel-dry and gently fluff brush them at their own pace.
Constant Supervision: Your dog is never left unattended on a table or in a room with drying equipment. A human is with them every step of the way.
